This 12-hour, six-part documentary, directed by Ken Burns and co-produced with writer Dayton Duncan, traces the evolution of national parks – a uniquely American idea – from the mid-1800s to the present day. It explores the biographies of the remarkable people who helped create the parks and save them from destruction. It’s narrated by actor Peter Coyote and features first-person historical accounts, read by actors including Tom Hanks, Andy Garcia, Eli Wallach, Sam Waterston, John Lithgow, Adam Arkin, and Lee Stetson as Muir scholar and as the voice of John Muir.

27th April thru 15th May! Join JOHN MUIR, portrayed by Lee Stetson, as he leisurely walks the JOHN MUIR WAY in Bonnie Scotland, and revisits his boyhood home in Dunbar!
The John Muir Way is a coast-to-coast route stretching 134 miles across Scotland’s heartland, from the Firth of Clyde at Helensburgh in the west through to John Muir’s birthplace on the North Sea at Dunbar.
Along the Way, Mr. Stetson, as Muir, will perform at a variety of venues, relating stories of his earliest years in Dunbar, his boyhood in the wilderness of Wisconsin, his truly astonishing adventures in the American West, and of his heroic battles to preserve wild lands.
